Near Nové hrady, Kraví hora overgrown with forests rises above the village of Hojná voda. At its top we find a 37m high steel lookout tower with a view of the distant surroundings. After about half an hour's walk along the red tourist route, we reach Pod Kuní hora. In contrast to the more well-known and more touristically visited Cow Mountain, I did not meet almost any people here at the beginning of February.

Church of Our Lady of Consolation

We started the journey to Kraví hora in Dobrá voda in the parking lot located next to this beautiful monument, which is also a place of pilgrimage. A spring flows directly from the church, where we can taste the „Good Water“, for which a large number of people come here.

Road through the woods

From Hojná voda to the lookout tower, the road leads through the forest all the time. There is nothing very interesting to see, but it is a pleasant walk.

The view of the landscape is really beautiful.

Transition to Kuní hora

From Kraví hora we can go back to the car or go to the mountain Kuní about 2 km away. If we decide to continue, we will go down a steep hill, so that we can then step up almost the same hill again. Then we get to the second mountain with a name from the animal kingdom.

Stone shelters

Along the way we can sometimes come across small rocks resembling the entrance to the cave.

Just before the top

Here was probably the best place to look at the landscape. Cow Mountain and adjacent villages were visible. I mistakenly thought that this was the top of Kuní hora. However, it is about 200m further and there is almost nothing to see through the tall trees.

View from the stones

According to the surrounding landscape, it would be difficult to guess that it is February.

In the saddle

It is said that the most beautiful view of the world is from a horse's back. There was no horse here, so there was no choice but to improvise!

Napoleon's head

From Kuní hora we return to Mount Kraví and from there we continue on our way down to the village. We pass a rock named after the famous conqueror.

Meeting bell

The last attraction on the way back to the car is this bell in the village of Hojná voda. From there it is about 1.5 km back to the parking lot to the church in Dobra Voda.
