One of the pleasant parts of Český Krumlov is the large Castle Garden. From the garden there are nice views of the nearby mountain Kleť, but also a great view of the historic city center. The garden is in the Baroque style and has several different parts. You will also find the famous revolving auditorium and the Bellarie summer house. Definitely worth a stop here while exploring the city

Views on the way to the Castle Garden

The classic walk to the Castle Garden begins at the Castle Baroque Theater (crossroads: both to the Jelení zahrada car park and to the castle). On the way slightly up to the entrance to the garden are beautiful views of the city

Gazebo in the Castle Garden

From the fountain, we first go to the Upper Garden, which has a completely different character – forest-like. Here you will find both a revolving auditorium (it has refreshments) and the Bellarie summer house. A gazebo can also be used for relaxation. Sometimes you will meet not only tourists, but also locals who go for a run here

Pond in the castle garden

It is definitely worth walking to the very end of this large garden. There is a fairly large castle pond with an island in the middle. There are several benches around it, so another place suitable for relaxation

The lower part of the garden

After a tour of the „forest park“ we return to the fountain and go upstairs. The garden is really picturesque and there are a few beautiful trees

Lower garden

In the lowest part of the garden you will come across a large building of the chateau riding school, part of the Cloak Bridge and especially in the corner of the garden there is a great view as one of the few uninhabited tourists

Beautiful view of Český Krumlov

The view of the city from the corner of the garden is really amazing. You are actually just a few meters above the place where there are crowds of tourists, but here it is better and there is almost no one. You will walk back to the beginning of the route along the riding hall (you do not have to return to the entrance at the top)
