The lookout tower on the top of Kleť Mountain (1084 m above sea level) is considered to be the oldest stone lookout tower in the Czech Republic. From the lookout tower there is a really nice wide view, in good weather all the way to the Alps.

At the top of Kleť

The top of Kleť is of course dominated by a stone lookout tower, but also a large tourist cottage serving mainly for cyclists, for whom an exit is a great challenge.

Beautiful staircase on the Kleť lookout tower

As you climb to the top of the lookout tower, you will definitely be interested in the beautiful spiral wooden staircase

View straight down

It can be seen from the lookout tower that the top of Kleť is quite large. You will find a few rocks here. Not far from the top there is also an observatory

The view to the north is to the picturesque landscape around Křemže (also part of the protected landscape area Blanský les) and further to Budějovice or the giant towers of the Temelín nuclear power plant.
