Malá Fatra is divided by the river Váh into two parts into Malá Fatra (Kriváňská Malá Fatra) and Lúčanská Malá Fatra. This part is not included in the protection of the national park, so it is suitable for those who like to wander with a tent or sleep under a canopy. It offers nice views and a hike through the colorful grassy meadows.

A beautiful two-day trek

The ridge is not one of the simple ones in terms of terrain, the descent alternates regularly with strenuous elevation. Even so, this hike, which measures up to 50 km, can be done in two days. It is necessary to take into account the supply of water, which is not available everywhere during the trek. The usual route starts in Fačkovské sedlo, where you can get a bus from Žilina. – ** Trek itinerary **: Fačkovské sedlo (802 m), Reváň (1205 m), Kľak (1352 m), Ostrá skala (1220 m), Janková (1163 m), Hnilická Kýčera (1218 m), Horná lúka ( 1299 m), Veterné (1442 m), Veľká lúka (1476m), Zázrivá (1406m), Minčol (1364 m), Javorina saddle (967 m), Sedlo pod Kojšovou, Strečno
