Ascent to Strážov
Beauty of Strážovské vrchy
Strážov is the highest peak of the Strážov Hills, which connect to Malá Fatra from the south, dividing Fačkovské sedlo. From the top there are beautiful views of the surroundings, especially the sunsets are famous here. We chose the way up from the village of Čičmany, which is famous for its folk architecture and painted log cabins. The red mark will take us to the top, where we can be within three hours.

Under the top
For most of the way to the top of Strážov from Čičman, we go through a beech forest, and just below the top is a meadow, from which the views of the surroundings begin to open.

The views are mainly to the southwest, from the north the peak is surrounded by low beech forest
Cross under the top
not many people go to the top in the winter months, so you can enjoy a little peace on the weekend :-)
