There is a lot to write about Lysá hora, the highest peak of the Moravian-Silesian Beskydy. This time I will focus on the sunset and sunrise, which is worth experiencing here.

Route description

I chose the path to the sunset like most people, from the train station in the village of Ostravice. The red sign leads me along the bridge over the river Ostravice, then along the asphalt road to the parking lot at the transformer. There is also a barrier, but the asphalt continues to the Butořanka spring, where the road turns into a tourist trail. I walk through a meadow and a cottage settlement, from where there are the first nice views of the surroundings. I climb to the crossroads below Lukšinec, where it is possible to rest in a wooden gazebo. The path from the rocks to the top, where it was recently strengthened, keeps me going up to prevent further erosion. This way I will reach the top, where unique views and sunset await me.

Shadows

The sun is already tilting to the horizon and the shadows are lengthening so that the shadow of Lysá hora and the transmitter can be seen on the opposite hill.
