Former Benedictine monastery
To the west of the regional city of Pilsen, just off the D5 motorway, you will come across the interesting Kladruby Monastery and the impressive Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, St. Wolfgang and St. Benedict. The monastery can be visited within the commented circuits. You can also take a short walk along the church and enjoy this impressive building
Entrance to the monastery complex
There is a free car park directly opposite the monastery. From here you can also go to the Museum of the Czechoslovak Fortifications Kladruby, which takes care of two light fortifications. It can be seen from the parking lot that there is still a lot to renovate.

After passing the entrance gate, the panorama of the monastery will open up to you. On the positive side, part of the monastery has already been renovated, but it will definitely be a long time before it is perfect.
Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary
The church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary standing next to the monastery in the Baroque Gothic style is a significantly more interesting and impressive building.
