A trip to the interior of the Ortles Mountains
If you want to take a beautiful day trip or a hike to the very heart of the Ortles Mountains. Head to the town of Sulden, located in the valley of the Sulden bach. First, use the cable car and let yourself be taken up to a height of 2,610 meters above sea level. From there, take a simple hike to the famous Passo del Madriccio (3,123m). From the pass it is already a short distance to the observation mountain Hintere Schöntaufspitze (3,325m).

Excursion under Gran Zebra (3,851m)
If you want to go to the Passo del Madriccio (3,123m) or even higher to the adjacent mountain Hintere Schöntaufspitze (3,325m), the top station of Funivie di Solda (2,610m) is the ideal starting point. The lower station is then at the very end of the Suldental valley at an altitude of 1,900 meters above sea level. It is a gondola, so the traffic is not so smooth. Plus there is a lunch break. continue reading

In any case, one way or another, it is a very simple three-thousander that even a small child can climb without any danger – if he (or his parents) has the physical strength to climb 514 meters high from the cable car and 3.3 km long. continue reading
Ascent to the Hintere Schöntaufspitze (3325 m)
Beautiful view over Passo del Madriccio
If you are already going on a hike to the high pass of Passo del Madriccio (3,123 m), then definitely extend this trip by climbing the technically simple yet relatively high Hintere Schöntaufspitze (3,325 m). There is only 200 meters of altitude from the pass to the top, so you will be at the top in 30–45 minutes depending on your pace continue reading
