In the foothills of the Eagle Mountains you will find the small town of Žamberk (about 6 thousand inhabitants). The city is quite affected by transit traffic, as the first class road number 11 leads through its historic center. In Žamberk, it pays to make a short stop and walk through the local sights, which are mostly located around Masaryk Square.

City Hall in Žamberk

The most famous building in the city is the local town hall, which you will find on every promotional leaflet inviting you to visit the city. Next to the town hall there are also two nice historical houses.

However, the biggest magnet of the city is not the local monuments, but the outdoor water park at the eastern end of the city. You will find several water slides here and also one interesting thing, and it is possible to swim in the side river – Divoká Orlice. In addition to the monuments mentioned above, it is also possible to visit the Jewish cemetery, synagogue or small castle. At the western end of the town is the Tyrš Lookout Tower (Rozálka)
