Area Pokhara and surroundings

Center of the area lying below southern slopes of Annapurnas and the starting point for treks is Pokhara besieged by tourists with its famous lake Phewa, in which in good weather mirrors the entire Himalayan ridge. This area is famous not only by views of the amazing mountains, but also by beautiful terraced rice fields occupying its slopes steeply rising from canyons of rivers. Moreover, the landscape is also beautified by a number of nice waterfalls and typical villages. This area is located at the east from river Kali Gandaki up district Lamjung situated on the middle reaches of the river Marsyangdi. Windward slopes with frequent downfalls are doing well to rhododendron misty forests.
