The „capital“ town and center of the area is the very famous ski resort of Sölden. High-lying villages: The Ötztal Alps boast one of the highest villages in Europe. These include Obergurgl (1,907 m above sea level), Vent (1,895 m above sea level) or the Rofen homestead (2,030 m above sea level).

You will also find several interesting bridge over the local gorges. The most famous are the bridge at Rofen or the 137-meter-long Benni Reich Brücke bridge over the Pitzeklamm gorge in Arzl im Pitztal.
