The square is located in the Old Town. It is a central square and one of the most famous in Bratislava. It is located next to Franciscan Square, between Sedlárska and Radničná streets. It is extremely rich in historical and cultural monuments, there is the Old Town Hall, the Palace of the Hungarian Discount and Exchange Bank, Paluďai Palace, Aponi's Palace forming part of the Old Town Hall, the Governor's Palace and Kutscherfeld Palace.
