If you drive from Funchal towards the village of Curral das Freiras, turn in front of the new tunnel onto the old road leading to the viewpoint of the beautiful Eira do Serrado. From the car park it is approximately 5 minutes to the viewpoint (Miradouro) with a magnificent view of the valley and Mount Pico Grande
