Dubai Marina is one of the most interesting and basically recreational places in Dubai. The center of the whole area is a three-kilometer-long, artificially created canal with several luxury berths surrounded by skyscrapers. The canal crosses six bridges and can be bypassed on a pleasant scenic route, early in the morning used by runners.
