Oddly enough, you can find one beautiful beach – Diakoftis – at the dismal flat south end of Karpathos. The round, fine sand bay invites you to swim and relax. Make a trip here only when less windy day comes out. As a bonus, there are very close views of landing aircraft – but you have the airport just behind you.
