Inca ruins
The village of Chinchero is located at an altitude of 3762 meters above sea level and lies on the road between Ollantaytamb and Cusco. This stop is definitely worth it, because there is a large complex of preserved Inca ruins with a monastery. This place is not nearly as well known as tourists such as Machu Picchu or the ruins of Ollantaytam, so the whole complex is almost without people and also completely accessible for free. Here you will really feel the size of this ancient culture and you can admire the sophistication of huge menhirs into fitting to the millimeter.
