Changtse is despite its enormous height a little tucked mountain. When viewed from the Tibetan Everest base camp, you will not almost notice it, because monumental Everest rises behind it. These two mountains are connected by famous North Cole (7 020 m asl), where leads basic Tibetan route to Everest. Although it is not a mountain located on the border, you will be able to see it also from the Nepal side (during the ascent to Kala Patthar or walk to Everest BC), when its top rises just over the relatively low border pass Lho la (6 026 m asl), sometimes called also as North West col.
