Castel Vecchio is a remnant of the medieval fortifications of Verona and a fine example of Gothic architecture. It is now home to the Castelvecchio Museum dedicated to the paintings and sculptures of the Middle Ages. You can reach the fortress via the nice Ponte di Castelvecchio bridge.
