Today, most buses rush between Amman and Aqaba along the Desert Highway, but you can still cross the interesting original Kings Highway, which is home to major tourist attractions such as Petra, Karak Castle and Madaba. However, the most interesting trips are off-road vehicles through desert and mountainous landscapes. The most interesting trips are around the Wadi Rum desert.
