In Singapore, or on the island of Sentosa, you will find a number of nice beaches. Probably the most famous of them is Siloso, which is basically several half-moon bays with opposite islets. All built up, not a natural beach. In addition, it wouldn't be Sentosa, so there wouldn't be a lack of various attractions here either. The most famous of them is MegaZip.

On Siloso beach

Siloso Beach Walk is a road leading behind Siloso Beach. There are bus stops serving Sentosa Island. There are also several parking lots for those who come here by car. The beach itself looks nice at first glance, if you consider that it is artificially created and there are many different buildings around.

Two landmarks of the beach

The beach itself has nice sand, but the locals are more likely to take pictures here than to go swimming. The beach itself has two major landmarks. At the very western end is the huge Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa hotel and then the MegaZip structure

Machine gun nest

Here too, as in various places on Sentosa Island, you will find military monuments, when the island was basically made into one big fortress. The island was fortified from the end of the 19th century to protect the entrance to Keppel Harbour

Tropical vegetation behind the beach

Just behind the beach rises the hill of Imbiah, still overgrown with lush tropical vegetation. You will also find beautifully blooming Heliconia here.

Bungee Silo

You can also Bungee Jump from the massive structure

Siloso Beach Island

You can also go to one of the islands with dry feet on the bridge. This is also where the ZIP line ends.

Swimming at Siloso

The beach itself cannot be compared to, for example, Thai beaches, but swimming is pleasant. Thanks to the relatively early depth here, the beach is suitable for swimming even at low tide, which is not the rule for all tropical beaches.

The iconic location of Siloso beach

On Siloso Beach, perhaps the most photogenic spot is the rock with two palm trees just a short distance from the Shangri-la Hotel
