A trip to the Bolivian Sea
A visit to Lake Titicaca (3,815 m above sea level) is one of the most itineraries in Peru and Bolivia and it is not surprising: you will find the beautiful landscape around the lake, interesting customs on the individual islands and for the harder and the opportunity to swim at a really high altitude. Expect at least four days in this area, but you won't be bored here for a week.

If you start exploring the lake from the Bolivian side, you will first drive a few hours drive from La Paz. After your stay in Copacabana, explore the cathedral, climb Cerro Calvario and relax on the beach.

Cruise to the sacred island
A cruise to the island of the Sun is a comfortable start to the whole trip to this sacred island. The most classic is the start from the port of Copacabana with an exit in either the southern port of Yumani or the northern Challapampa. Alternatively, you can set sail from Yampupata, which is closest to the island of the Sun. The cruise from Copacabani to Challapampa takes two hours and you can enjoy nice views of the lake shores and mountains on the horizon at all times. continue reading

Road to Pune
On the fourth day, you will have an almost 150-kilometer transfer to Peru to Pune. There is also a cathedral and you can climb the view of the city. Also arrange a cruise to other islands tomorrow.
Day 5 - 6
Uros, Taquile and Amantani Islands
If you want to dedicate just one day to the lake, go on a cruise to the reed islands of Uros and then to Taquila and back. A long day. But you can also sleep there and still visit the island of Amantani.
