Voyage to Mo'orea and Hauru point
Although it is possible to get to the island Mo'orea by air from nearby Tahiti, most tourists use pleasant hour cruise by a ferry. Then just hop on the bus on its circular way around the island and get off in the place of accommodation. It is ideal to choose a place either in the northwest in Hauru Point. There are nice beaches and the atmosphere is accomplished by coral islands motu. Or in the south at the beach Temae, from where is beautiful view of the neighboring Tahiti. After accommodating awaits you only relax on the beach and walks along the coast.

By ferry around French Polynesia
A half-hour boat ride and 21 km – only such a small distance is between the two completely different islands of French Polynesia. Best beaches in Mo'orea
The best beaches and most beautiful part of the coast in Mo'orea is at its northwest end in Hauru Point. You will find everything you would expect from the island in Polynesia: azure lagoon, coral motu islands, white beaches and of course coconut palms. Exploring the island on bike
After relaxing by the sea you can ride around the entire island on a bicycle. You can explore two very photogenic bays on the island – Opunoho and Cook and local very steep mountains covered with greenery from all sides. If you want to extend this circuit a little, you may ride to a wonderful outlook point Belveder and enjoy the hinterland of the island.

Even in the tropical paradise of French Polynesia you can enjoy a great ride on a bike – around the entire 59 km long circular small road leading around the island Mo'orea. The only enemy will be hot weather. The traffic is only on the eastern side of the island, but it is not so bad. The most beautiful are the views of the local green mountains. continue reading
Drive to Belvedere viewpoint
Cycle trip around Mo'orea
You can basically undertake only two cycling trips on the island – either go around the whole island along the coastal road or along the dead end road to beautiful viewpoint Belvedere (250 nm). If you want, you can manage both these trips just in one day. Of course, you will not meet many cyclists here, rather nobody – most people come here by car, which is also an alternative to this trip. From the viewpoint Belvedere you will have a beautiful view of both bays and mainly of amazing local mountains. continue reading

Kayaking and trekking in the hinterland
After a challenging bike ride we recommend spending one more day at the water. It is definitely worth to hire a kayak and sail around the small coral islands motu. The next day, you can undertake a trek into the interior of the island.

Hike across Three Firs Pass
Pineapple plantations and jungle
There are several possibilities for hike trips on island Mo'orea – one of such trails leads from the village Paopao at the end of bay Cook to nice outlook place Three Firs Pass. But do not expect here a well-marked path. Even the sketches in the guides are really only for rough orientation and you will most likely also fumble. Anyway, you will enjoy also „rural“ part of Mo'orea with pineapples fields and local oceanic jungle. continue reading
