Stop at the ridge of fossils
On the way from Erg Chebbi to Erfoud
If you head north from the famous dunes of Erg Chebbi to Erfoud, Er Rachidia and beyond, you can set off from Merzouga by taking the shortcut number R702. You will drive through a desolate stony desert plain, which is bridged in several places by low mountain ridges. These geologically interesting massifs hide a lot of fossils, so you will also see shops and searchers here. You can interrupt the journey to the north on one of these ridges and stretch your body a little
