The most famous beach in the north of Menorca

Cavallería Beach is one of Menorca's most famous beaches and no wonder, as it is a beautiful pristine sandy beach with crystal clear water and reddish sand. It is located in the north of the island, quite far from the city centers.
Red
What makes this beach one of the most popular on the island is the red clay that many bathers use to cover their bodies. This clay appears to have beneficial effects on health and beauty. It is obtained from rocky hills.

Access to the beach
The beach is located approx. 700 meters from the parking lot. Access is via a comfortable path followed by a descent down a wooden staircase.

Active entertainment
If you like snorkeling and diving, this beach will also be ideal for you, as its seabed is very attractive. The only bad thing about Cavallería is that it is usually very crowded in the summer.

Cala Roja
Right next to Playa Cavalleria is the small cove of Cala Roja, which can also be visited if you want to find a beach with less people. However, the calmness is redeemed by the rocky coast.
