Olimpica trek belongs among the shortest in the mountain range Cordillera Blanca. But this does not change much about the fact that you will enjoy here very beautiful views in the area of the highest mountain in the Peruvian Andes, Huascaran. In addition, this trek is one of the less frequently walked and is thus ideal for those who like to wander in abandoned places.

Day 1

Over Punta Olimpica to basecamp

Olimpica trek has a very interesting beginning in high pass Punta Olimpica (4 920 m asl), which can be easily reached by a regular bus route from Carhuaz. Directly in front of you open a wonderful panorama of the highest mountain in Peru – Huascaran. Then follows a descent into basecamp on upland meadow and associated relax with mountain views directly from the tent.
