One of the TOP attractions in Abu Dhabi is the Observation Deck at 300. It is located on the 74th floor of one of the Etihad Towers. It is at a height of about the announced 300 meters. It is the highest publicly accessible observation deck in Abu Dhabi. It offers 360° panoramic views of the iconic Emirates Palace, the Corniche, the Persian Gulf and the developing islands with luxury residences.

Etihad Towers

The observation deck is located in the Etihad Towers complex, which is a complex of five skyscrapers. The tallest of the skyscrapers (Tower 2) has 74 floors and is where the Observation Deck at 300 is located.

Ground floor of skyscrapers

Entrance to the complex is free – there are shops, a café, etc. The environment feels very luxurious.

Huge cafe

Everything here is really big and airy. We had to ask a few times for directions to the elevator to the observation deck because the signage is not very clear. We arrived a little after the opening time, which is 9:30 (closes at 8:00 PM).

Looking straight down

After getting out of the elevator (which unexpectedly is controlled by the person himself), a breathtaking view opens up. At this time of the morning, all the important monuments and buildings in Abu Dhabi are nicely illuminated.

Al Kasir Island

Directly opposite the towers is another tourist spot in Abu Dhabi – Al Kasir Island with the Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi hotel, the Marina Mall shopping center, Heritage Village and the Abu Dhabi Theater.

Emirates Palace

Even closer is the iconic Emirates Palace Hotel. It reportedly cost over $3 billion to build, making it one of the most expensive hotels in the world. It has a stunning 1.3km long private beach. The hotel lobby is also accessible to non-guests.

Qaṣr Al-Watan - Presidential Palace

The view of the magnificent construction of the presidential palace is also magnificent. The cost of construction has never been disclosed, but it is estimated to be somewhere between 1–2 billion dollars.

View of the islands

Abu Dhabi is essentially surrounded by islands, so you can see a whole bunch of them from the lookout.

Island from above

The area around Abu Dhabi is a combination of both artificial and natural islands.

View to the east

The view to the east is no longer so interesting – the low-rise buildings disappear on the horizon

View of the Corniche and Downtown

We have almost walked around the entire walkway and almost at the end there is another great view in front of us. Right next to it is the ADNOC Headquarters skyscraper (headquarters of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company) which is 342 meters (1,122 feet) high. It is the second tallest skyscraper in Abu Dhabi. The building has 76 floors above ground. Then the Corniche promenade stretches further.
