Places of interest in Qatar
For most tourists, Doha is just a transfer station on the way to the Far East or for tennis experts instead of the famous tournament. However, if you have a two-day stop over here or you just have a hotel for the night and you are waiting for a morning flight, it is worth going to the city and seeing several local monuments
Night fish market
Doha Airport is practically right next to the city, so you won't be far from the center. So everything is within relative walking distance. The first interesting place is the fish market with a wide selection of seafood.
The Museum of Islamic Art
One of the most famous buildings in all of Qatar is The Museum of Islamic Art, which maps the entire history of Islam.

Another landmark of the city center is the beautifully lit building Qatar Islamic Cultural Center.
Corniche in Doha
Probably the most enjoyable part of the evening walk in Doha is along the Corniche. On the other side of the bay is the skyscraper part of the city

You can diversify the walk with a ride on the waters of the bay.
If you want to walk to the skyscraper part of the city, count on almost 5 kilometers in one direction.
Just a short walk from the Islamic Center is Old Doha – a small historic district with the famous Souq Waqif.
