Hike along Lake Roca
One of the relatively easy tours in the Tierra del Fuego National Park is a walk along Lake Roca to the international border of Chile – Argentina. Apart from the nice views of the lake, you will enjoy a real Patagonian forest, full of twisted trees and mushrooms
Predators in Lapataia
The road to the Hito XXIV border bollard begins in the center of the Tierra del Fuego – Lapataia National Park. There is a fairly large number of half-domesticated predators.
Rabbits in Lapataia
Apart from predators, there are also semi-domesticated rabbits, which at first glance is quite impossible
View of the Cordillera Darwin
In the distance you can also see the glaciated peaks of the Cordillera Darwin, located in Chile in the Alberto de Agostini National Park.
Patagonian landscape
Around you is a ruggedly beautiful Patagonian landscape.
The first view of Lago Roca
Just behind Lapataiou is the beach and views of Lago Roca. You will have a relatively similar view from the end of this tour on the border bollard Hito XXIV, so the goal of this tour is rather your own path through the interesting Patagonian forest.
Wild Patagonian forest
The path leads through a wild forest, where you cross a bird at any moment. After a while, a footpath turns off your route towards the Cerro Guanaco scenic peak – an ideal hike if you have the whole day and wish the weather.
Rock gardens in the forest
The rocks of this forest are also added to the attractions of this route.
Hito XXIV
After about an hour and a half from Lapataia you will reach the border point Hito XXIV. You are on the border with Chile and Argentina.
Lake Roca
From the border bollard there is a beautiful view of Lake Roca. The same journey awaits you.
