Sailing with breathtaking views
If you visit the national park Torres del Paine, you must overcome a beautiful lake Pehoe whether you walk classical W-trek, around the entire massif or only to the Grey glacier. Fortunately, a regular catamaran service from refugio Pudeto to refugio Pehoe operates here. If the sun shines, enjoy here the beautiful blue water of the lake with constant views of Cuernos del Paine.
Lake Pehoe
If you still have some time before the catamaran departs, make a short walk along the lake shore. Bleached tree branches add here a touch of wilderness. But the wind sometimes blows here so hard that you could have problems to keep yourself upright.
Catamarans dock
The entire harbor is only one house and a pier.
Cerro Paine Grande
In the distance across the lake rises Cerro Paine Grande working quite often as a magnet for bad weather.
Boating on the lake
If it does not rain or blow strongly, it's worth to stay on the upper deck of the catamaran and enjoy the stunning panorama of Cuernos del Paine and blue water of the lake.
Rough Patagonia
The surrounding weathered landscape you will certainly impress you with its rugged beauty.
Cuernos from the western side of the lak
After about a half hour you will arrive to the western shore of the lake, from where is a little different view of Cuernos del Paine. If you are lucky with the weather, there are amazing sunsets when the entire massif turns red-hot. There is also a camp and refugio (expensive).
