Hike through the Kucherly valley
Across the river
Belucha trek1: the tour begins in the small Russian village of Tjungur, then passes through the village of the same name Kucherla and continues all day along the river Kucherla. The hike is for 8–10 hours depending on what part of the valley you want to cross. During the whole trip, there are places for tents at regular intervals and also two turbases (cottages with the possibility of buying snacks and accommodation).
Kucherla
At the beginning we pass through the village of Kucherla, where the road is divided into two different directions, we head through the right valley towards Lake Kucherla.
Kucherla River
After the village we cross the bridge to the other bank of the river Kucherly, which we will not leave during the whole trek.
Glacier
In the foreground you can see the first glaciers and thus the destination of our journey.
Coniferous forests
Throughout the trek, we walk through coniferous forests near the river Kucherla.
By the river
During the trip, we get to the Skade River several times without fear of drinking water.
Meadows
Along the way, there are several picturesque meadows where you can sleep and there are very often built fireplaces with places for tents.
Surprise
After the whole day, we get back to the road where the car goes, which significantly surprises us and finally we find out that there is a cottage to which there are supplies on the car along the other side of the river.
Mud
The disadvantage of the trek is that not only people but also horses follow it, and therefore the road is dug in several places and it is easy to get dirty from the mud.
