Easy ascent from the Alptrider Sattel
Piz Munschuns (2,657m) is one of the most famous beautiful viewpoints towering over the Samnaun valley. Thanks to the fact that the peak is only a short distance from the final cable car on the Alptrider Sattel, it is also a very easy climb. Approximately 170 meters in height and less than a kilometer of walking await you. The views from the top are really beautiful and the slopes of the mountain covered with flowering plants are also wonderful.

View of Mutler
After a few minutes of ascent, a beautiful view of the valley opens – to the town of Samnaun and two dominant mountains – the highest Muttler (3,294m) and next to it, the slightly lower but more rocky Piz Tschütta (3,254m).
View to the north
On the other hand, the views are not so dramatic – below you is a wide slope where skiing takes place in the winter. The peaks on the horizon are slightly below three thousand meters above sea level.

The building of the cable car from where we set off on this short ascent is nicely visible below us.
Below the summit of Piz Munschuns
The path climbs winding grassy slopes with lots of beautiful blooming flowers. In a moment we will have the summit cross in front of us.
The view from the top
The views from the top are truly magnificent, especially towards the east
