The ascent to Tubkal is technically comparable to tours in the Tatras. However, the difference lies in the length of the march and the altitude. I read the opinions of different people on the internet. Some individuals give the peak of Imlil and back in one day. Most people divide the ascent into two days – one day ascent to the cottage and the other to the top and then down to Imlil. After all, it's quite a large elevation gain. We were not in any time and we had the opportunity to divide the output into three days.

..I did not measure the way, but I found out that our trek, which awaits us on the first day, is about 12 km and an elevation gain of 1300 m, along the way we meet mules with a load, which I feel sorry for …

Rest stop

The village of Sidi Shamharus – some of them took a bath in a cold stream, there was a snack in the form of orange juice with squeezed fresh oranges, snack stations with juice is the way to the cottage about 5 ..

Refuge du Toubkal - our Base Camp

..there are two mountain huts … my assumptions that they are not far from each other have not been confirmed, the huts are just above each other … we are staying in the Toubkal hut and just below it is the second hut Les Mouflons .. they are proper buildings, compared to what we saw behind the dwellings in the villages … the cottage is at an altitude of 3207m.nm. we will spend two nights here …

Morning and climb to the top

..there behind the cottage is a small waterfall and we have to overcome it first, the weather is beautiful, but quite strong wind makes the whole ascent unpleasant

Lots of rubble along the way ...

.. the way to the top is over stones, but a large part is rubble, which is quite unpleasant and quite slippery … in some places there are still snow fields. ..

.. it is May and there is relatively little snow here, but despite that, the road leads here and there through snow fields .. we overcame without cats, only with hiking poles …
