Along the road from Leh to Manali Transport

- Off road: Nowadays it is the most common drive from Leh to Manali or vice versa by a shared off-road vehicle. Count for the journey with one very long day, about 20 hours and more. Tourists usually ride in five. Two huddled in front next to the driver and three in the rear + 2–3 locals in the trunk, so do not expect any comfort. The best place is on the left front, where you can take pictures along the way, if you open the window. If you do not want to argue with someone, arrange this place already when ordering transport in Leh. The stops are usually only in the passes or during breaks for meals, unless you don´t persuade the driver to make another stops at the outlook points as well.
- Bus: Classic bus trip takes two days with an overnight stay in Sarchu. The cheapest option.
- Motorbike: Very popular option is to drive this way on a motorcycle Royal Enfield. Surely the greatest experience.
