Tupiza and the surrounding area

Tupiza (2,970m), located just seventy kilometers from the border with Argentina, is the center of an interesting area dubbed the Wild West of Bolivia. This nickname deserved not only due to the amazing red rocky ridges, canyons and cactuses, but also thanks to the famous desperations of Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid. Travelers come here not only for trekking and horse riding, but also because it is one of the starting points for the amazing South West Altiplano
