Weather and season

The ideal time to visit is the south american summer, i.e. from December to February.

• The level of overcrowding varies from quite crowded scenic routes at the glacier Perito Moreno up to deserted expedition hikes in the high passes of Marconi and Viento or along Southern Patagonian ice field.
• The main trails around Fitz Roy are relatively frequently walked, although significantly less than for example in the Chilean Torres del Paine. But only if you walk down to the minor routes, you will see how the number of tourists drops dramatically.
