Every Buddhist monastery in Ladakh has its own festival. All are very colorful, full of masks and dances. They are also very long. Ladakh festival: The largest is the Ladakh festival directly in Leh, always held on September 20–26. The culmination of the Ladakh festival is a big field match. Yuru Kabgyat in Lamayuru: a two-day festival taking place in June.
