On the west coast of the North Island of New Zealand, right at the mouth of the Tongaporut River, rise from the sea beautiful rocky outcrops ** Three Sisters and the Elephant Rock **. The first of these is Elephant Rock, a massive rock formation, reminiscent of a giant elephant in shape. At low tide it is possible to walk through it and get through the tunnels to other rocky outcrops called the Three Sisters.
