The town of Petra is one of the most popular tourist stops in Lesbos. The small historic center with typical streets has a very nice landmark in the form of a large rock with the church of Panagia Glikophilousa. This panorama is one of the typical „postcards“ from Lesbos. The whole city is nicely set in a bay, surrounded by olive groves and a little further on the corridor of mountains.
