The second largest synagogue in Europe
The Great Synagogue is located in the center of Pilsen in Sady Pětatřicátníků Street. It is the largest synagogue in the Czech Republic, which is also the second largest synagogue in Europe. It was built in the Neo-Romanesque style with Moorish elements according to the plans of the Viennese architect Max Fleischer, reworked by the Pilsen builder Emanuel Klotz, and was built between 1888 and 1892. According to a memorial certificate found in the north tower mine, 06 gold.
