Skaftafellsjökull is a 10 km long and almost 2.5 km wide glacier slide in the southeast of Iceland. It is located in Skaftafell National Park, between Skaftafellsheiði in the west and Hafrafell in the east. The Hvannadalshnúkur peak rises above the glacier, which is the highest point of Iceland at 2,119 meters.
