The Glacier Lagoon is located almost 400 km from Reykjavík on the main road that goes around the whole island. It is known not only for floating pieces of ice, but especially for broken pieces of ice on the beach. It is located in the Vatnajokull National Park and is formed by the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier. Among other things, it is known for the fact that seals live here, which can be observed swimming between glaciers.

Diamond beach

It is the name for one of the two beaches covered with pieces of glaciers playing a huge number of colors.

Ocean

In the background of the glaciers are huge waves that are still whipping the beach, making it impossible to walk smoothly between the glaciers.
