On the way to the southernmost tip of the island, we made a short stop at Lachania beach, which is about 6 km long. The beach is pebbly and most of the time it will probably be empty, or at least everyone will find their place along its length. If you're looking for peace and quiet, you've come to the right place. When there is no wind, as we had here, you will only hear gently rolling pebbles and the occasional chirping of seagulls.
