Drum Castle is a castle that attracts with its huge tower. The original castle was built as a tower house from the 13th century and subsequently expanded to its current form. Its rarity is mainly the tower. It is one of the three oldest tower houses preserved in Scotland. This castle also played a role in the struggle for Scottish independence during the reign of King Robert Bruce. Today the monument belongs to the National Trust for Scotland. It is only open in the summer season.
