The ruin Trosky (“The Ruins”) ( 488 m asl) situated on two basalt knobs Baba (“The Old Lady”) and Panna (“Virgin”) is visible from almost all parts of the Czech Paradise and is its symbol and also something like a centerpiece. Because the castle Hrubá Skála is built atop a 60 meter-high sandstone cliffs, it is visible from far away indeed. The ruins of Bradlec Castle belong to the places with the greatest atmosphere in the Bohemian Paradise. Maybe it is also due to the fact that it is located off the main tourist paths and so there are few visitors, or that a long time robber knights stayed here. Typical of this ruin is a large arch in the local half-demolished wall, the former entrance to the tower.
