When you look at the map of Tibet, you see a country completely interwoven with large rivers and many lakes. However, due to the high altitude and thus the very low water temperature, swimming is usually only for hardy people. But you can bathe here in warm hot springs, of which there are many.

There are more than 1000 hot springs in Tibet, although not all of them are suitable for swimming. The most famous are probably Yangpachen hot springs, which can be found on the route between Lhasa and Lake Namtso. Dezong hot springs is close to Lhasa. Xiqian hot springs are near Lhatse Tirthapuri hot springs near Kailash mountain
