Trip to Psili Ammos beach (west)
The beach where you can meet a turtle card
Just west of the famous resort of Votsalakia you will find the beautiful beach of Psili Ammos. Beware of confusion, the beach of the same name can also be found almost in the very east of the island of Samos. But this is another more private one. You will find the tavern on the slope, not directly on the beach. There are several sunbeds but next to a lot of loose golden sand
Eastern part of Psili Ammos beach
From the western end of Votsalakie, it is about a 2.5 km walk to the beach on a hot road, so it is better to get here by car or bus. You will find a small car park here and then the road descends to the tavern, which is about halfway up the slope. Directly below the tavern there is an organized part with sunbeds and parasols. If we head east, a deserted beach with small cliffs awaits us.

Before the east end itself, there is a second, smaller part with sunbeds. The beach is terminated by a cliff
Western part of the beach
The western part of the beach is much quieter, an ideal place for lovers of quiet swimming. The sand here is darker than elsewhere on Samos, so it's really hot

At the western end of the beach is a bordered place with a ban on entry – here lay the eggs of a protected turtle card
Inland views
A piece of the highest mountain on the island of Kerkris also rises above the slope – we are basically almost below it. Of course, there is a much better view of it from other parts of the island
