Spa town on the Elbe
Podebrady is a former royal town located in Central Bohemia by the Elbe river. It is also a well-known spa. In addition, there is a nice square, a castle and several other monuments worth visiting. Sports lovers will also enjoy themselves here, as there is also a nice cycle path along the Elbe.

The ideal start for a walk around Poděbrady is directly from the city center on Náměstí Jiřího. There are two dominants here. The first is the beautiful baroque Marian (plague) column.

From the castle we will go for a walk along the Elbe. It takes a bit of a detour along a nice baroque building and the Polabské Museum with a stop at the Church of the Ascension of St. Crisis. If you have children with you, you can make a stop in Kubovy sady with a nice playground.

We return along the Elbe. It is definitely worth walking up to the road bridge, because it probably offers the most beautiful view of the entire castle
Spa park
Then we move to the most picturesque part of the city, which is the Spa Park. There are many attractions in the form of springs, fountains and statues. For example, the Eliščina Spring, the Colonnade of Professor Libenský, the Fountain at the Colonnade
Pramen Boček
The most important spring in the spa park is Boček. At the very northern end of the park is a nice fountain with a sculpture of Léda with a swan.
