What are the beaches and swimming like on Ukulhas?

Ukulhas has a beautiful long beach on the west side of the island. The most water is found on its southwest end, where you can swim even at low tide. The northern part of the island is unusable, because the island is artificially expanded in that direction, and the eastern part is the port and town. The depth of the water also changes seasonally and of course the current tide times greatly affect the swimming experience. We had a high tide during the daytime, so we were very satisfied
Southern end of the island
At the very southern end of the island is a wide sandbar. It has the deepest water even at low tide and, surprisingly, only a minimum of people.

View of the West Beach
From the southern end of the island, a beautiful long beach stretches west. Unfortunately, behind the first row of palm trees, three huge high-rise buildings are being built, completely destroying the character of this island.

Ukulhas West Beach
The western beach is about 800 meters long and as there are currently only small accommodations there are relatively few visitors. This will certainly change after the completion of the high-rise buildings.

Afternoon beach
In the early evening the sun is no longer harsh and everything turns orange. There are also the most people here because it is still pleasantly warm, but the sun is no longer as „aggressive“ as it is around noon.

Northern part of the beach
The further north you go along the beach, the fewer people you will meet. It is mostly locals who swim here.

Southeast
When you reach the very north of the island, you will find that it is not nice there. The island is artificially expanding towards the north. So you continue south again but on the eastern side of the island, where the city and the port are located. In the southeast, the beach begins again, but it is quite rocky, so it is worth continuing further around, but you are already at the southern end of the island, where we started.
