Jirásk's cottage in Dobrošov
Pearl of the Club of Czech Tourists with a stylish lookout tower
Above the south-eastern edge of Náchod near the village of Dobrošov rises Jiráskova's cottage in Dobrošov. Due to its excellent location, beautiful architecture and excellent restaurant, it is one of the most popular tourist spots in the vicinity of Náchod.
Great location
The cottage is sensitively set in nature in the Podorlické upland under the northwestern slopes of the Orlické Mountains. It is located on a plateau at a height of 622 m above sea level
Jirásk's cottage is easily accessible by car and on foot. A large parking lot is located right next to the cottage. For lovers of nature and tourism, it is an ideal starting point for trips around the area, including a visit to the nearby Dobrošov military fortress.
History
The first tourist shelter in Bohemia was built on the Dobrošov hill as early as 1895, which belonged to the Club of Czech Tourists. In 1912, a project was proposed for a new cottage, which was built by the architect Dušan Jurkovič. The foundation stone of this cottage was laid in 1921 on the occasion of Alois Jirásek's 70th birthday. The lodge was inaugurated in 1923 and has been serving tourists and visitors ever since.
In 1995, it was returned to the Czech Tourist Club, and after extensive reconstruction, it was opened to the public on 14 September 2002.
View
There are several places around the cottage that offer interesting views of Náchod and the surrounding area. The view of the Náchod castle with the Krkonoše panorama is worth it.
Restaurant with a view
The stylish restaurant has a capacity of 60 seats and is an ideal place for family celebrations, weddings or corporate events. In addition to very good cuisine, it impresses with an attractive view of the Rozkoš dam reservoir.

The terrace in front of the restaurant offers a wonderful view of the Rozkoš dam reservoir.
Lounge
The stylish lounge offers space for up to 20 people in an unusual setting.
Accommodations
The total accommodation capacity is 48 beds. The cottage offers accommodation in three double-storey rooms (9–15 beds), as well as a room with 2 and 5 beds. Toilets and showers are shared on the floor. The accommodation is oriented towards the tourist public and schools in nature or sports tourism courses.
Reconstruction into smaller rooms with accessories is being prepared.
Lookout tower
The tourist lodge is dominated by probably the most beautiful lookout tower in the Hradec Králové region. The hexagonal tower is 25 meters high and its roof is covered with shingles, so it forms a beautiful backdrop.
From the observation tower there is a breathtaking panoramic view, dominated by the view of Sněžka.
