Trip from island to island
One of the most popular trips in the Mamanuca group of islands is called „Island Hopping“. It is also the only option, except for extreme kayaking here, to visit the most beautiful Mociu Island alias Honeymoon (see the introductory slide of the photoreport). So you can see several islands during a single day.
Motor boats
The journey between the islands is most often operated by motor boats, which can accommodate around eight people. They usually stop on every island where the staff is constantly changing – tourists boarding / disembarking. Most will choose one or two islands for their stay, which they will agree on in Nadi. The second option is just a trip during which it stops on several islands, for example, only for an hour or two
Beach in Nadi
Most boats officially leave the port of Denarau, but many boats sail directly from the beach in Nadi, which certainly does not look very pleasing
Malolo island
The largest island in the lagoon, which also offers limited possibilities of tourism.
Hills on Malolo island
The islands here have been earlier covered with lush virgin forest vegetation. But unfortunately, this vegetation has been cut in Malolo and is covered only by a poor secondary vegetation today. Nevertheless, this island is worth visiting – not only for its nice beaches, but also for nice views to the other islands.
Wadigi island
Private island, which doesn´t offer a lot except for complete privacy. Is it possible just to look at it from the boat, because there even a short-term anchoring is prohibited here.
Casteway island
Perfect island for spending your honeymoon or staying with young children. Original vegetation, nice swimming even at low tide – what else you can dream about.
Navini island
This piece of Pacific paradise takes just a quarter of a square kilometer. There are only 10 bures available for accommodation, so there is complete silence.
Bounty island
Another from classic Pacific cakes, created as for zewling and sipping cocktails.
Viti Levu
Island Hopping Tour ends and there are giants on the horizon – mini islands replaced with a proper piece of land and catamarans with tanker. We are approaching the largest island of Fiji – Viti Levu.
